FOLLOW JESUS
Who is Jesus?
In John 4:16, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” We believe that Jesus is everything He says He is; someone who lived a perfect life in the face of the temptations of this world, and then faced death on a cross to pay the price for our sins. It’s hard to believe, right? If we are considered sinners, why would someone who lived a perfect life die for people they didn’t even know? John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son...” God loves each of us so much, that He allowed His Son to suffer for our sins.
So what do we do with what He did?
We accept it. There is no amount of work we can do to earn what He has done for us! Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.”If you just made the decision to follow Jesus, or if you have questions you need to have answered, we’d love for you to reach out.
GET BAPTIZED
What is baptism?
Baptism is being immersed and then removed from water to publicly declare that you are following Jesus Christ.
Why should I be baptized?
You will be following Jesus Christ in obedience. Matthew 28:19-20A says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Baptism shows others your commitment to follow Christ, and represents your new life after accepting Him. Romans 6:3-5 says, “Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.”
GROW YOUR FAITH
When you become a follower of Jesus, you begin a lifelong pursuit. 1 Peter 2:2 says, “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”
To sustain growth, it’s best to have habits in place. Use the buttons below to dig further into the Bible, develop valuable skills, and build healthy rhythms for the journey.
